Down from the mountain pass to the West-gate last night,
Expected welcome, not this frustrating sight.
It almost seems like we've been cursed since Bree.
Open up, dumb door, you're blocking shelter we need.

Well, we're at the locked-up door to Moria, 
Who has the secret key?
I think that we should guess Elf phrases and try them randomly.
We've been hanging around too long;
There's a squid watching me.

Mostly I walk or slide down hills, don't ride no horse,
Don't go too fast and I'm often off-course.
For a hobbit with no sense, I have rarely gotten hurt.
Some people say, I done all right for a squirt.
